puddle lights or neon underglow?

well since i got my starter/alarm/locks installed i wired in a relay from the lock unlock in the box with a 30second relay.

i wanted to get some puddle light to mound underneath so when i click the unlock button the light sill come on and i also have it set up to work on a switch on the inside.

i am deciding from 2 things to use.

eather:
puddle light blue led pucks
or
a 16-18" peice of streetglow underglow any color

idk what would work the best or be brighter and last longer??

LEDs = efficient low amperage and longest lifespan.

the cold cathodes are super bright. I only use one 12" bar on each side and it lights up a big range. I wired it into my dome light and it's only on when the dome lights are on.

where can i buy them? and how much they usualy run mine are ok for now but they look like crap.

mine are wired so when i hit the unlock on my remote the lights come on and after 30sec the relay shuts them off. and inside i have a switch that grounds when turned on to overide the relay and turn on when ever i want.
