i'm sorry...you know nothing. I was throwing an air bag code(4-7) and the light was on...had a bag deploy on me. Had the burns to prove it too. You're just plain wrong.

It means that the PAD switch indicator bulb circuit has incorrect resistance. In other words, either the PAD switch module is unplugged or the bulb is burned out.

i was a little in shock for about 10minutes after it happened...though i was cool enough to stop the truck, put it in neutral, set the parking brake, and shut the truck off and immediately get the 8mm out and remove the bag. lol. chest hurt for about 3 days, forearms burnt, ringing ears for a few hours. the works. lol.

/end hack sorta.

I got smacked by a 96 f150 airbag, some stitches and a half a day in the hospital I was fine. ( roll over accident ) those things hurts super bad! If the bags wouldn't have deployed I wouldn't have got a scratch.

No need to reset. The RCM will check the bulb circuit resistance and not turn on the airbag light if it is OK.

While this may be true. Airbags and Seatblets (when used properly) save far more lives than they cause things like this.

I'd rather have an airbag deploy on me with some chemical burns and a bruised chest than leaving my face on the steering wheel and dash board or be ejected in a roll over and have the vehicle land on top of me.

I'm not saying you believe this. But people who dislike airbags....that's all they have against them.
