no FM radio due to HIDs?

Has anyone ever run into this problem?
I have a sony head unit and about a year and a half ago whenever i turned on my head lights my radio would have a little static. Now I have been with out a radio (FM that is) for along time and I'm finally fed up. I know its something to do with my plug and play HIDs because for ****s and giggles I threw another head unit in my truck and it had a little static when the head lights came on. I know if i just throw another head unit in that this same problem will happen again.
So i was just wondering if anyone else has had this problem and if there is a way to stop the interference with the FM antenna.

I have the same problem. Doesn't really bother me because I listen to my Ipod 99% of the time. But I would like to fix it.

When i installed my HID fogs into my big truck it caused my radio to have alot of static, i tried adding grounds and the FM antenna boosters off ebay. Nothing fixed it.

I removed the HID fogs out my big truck before i sold it and installed them into my Ranger and there doing the same thing. My DDM headlights in the Ranger never caused static just the fogs. If somebody know a fix i would be a happy camper. The fog light brand is Ollo if that matters. Oh and if it mattered when installed into the big truck i didnt use a wireing harness i powered them straight from the factory wires, when i installed them into the Ranger i installed a relay and harness....

some people say that my problem is happening because its plug and play and not the set up with the relay and it powered up right off the battery

Both my heads and fogs are wired with relays! I will try and add more grounds to it tomorrow and see if it helps.

From what i understand it has something to do with Analog vs Digital ballasts. My analog VVME kits(few years old) do this as well. Been thinking about upgrading to Digital.

never knew that. In that case I'll buy the slim ballasts from DDM, it says they're fully digital
