Ranger heat stuck on floor

I recently broke the line from the firewall to the heater control valve and only had defrost after i fixed it now its stuck on the floor even if i disconnect that line which i read makes it default to defrost its still on the floor. That new line has vacuum and if i take off the resivor line with the truck off it has vacuum. I have no idea where to look to fix it

Welcome to the forum

Did you pull off the cab controller by chance?

Diagram here: https://www.explorerforum.com//forum...iag-gif.41768/
The vents are controlled by vacuum "motors", they really just pull vent open or let it close(no vacuum)

You can see the NV(no vacuum) and V(vacuum) position for each vent door

The Floor door would have to be Closed full time to stop defrost and panel vent air flow, and that happens if it has Vacuum all the time, or is was Jambed in that position
If you pulled off the control panel maybe vacuum hoses got mixed up

Just FYI, after 1994 the Temp door is electric, the Blend Door, 1994 and earlier it was cable operated so never was a vacuum door
