Ranger OHC in a Taurus?

I really miss my ohc from my ranger and the dealer would not let me take it out during the trade in.... shoulda done that before I went down there...

But anyway. The forum I occasion for my 05 taurus is hopeless and Extremely un-helpful. I have real issues with those people ....

so I'm asking here with my first fam-damly ...

Could it be possible? I am and electrical idiot. I understood Johns good old directions on wiring one into my ranger no problem.. but I have NO idea how to go about figuring out if this is even possible in my car. any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

Yes, the mounting issues dominate. Basically it is self-contained requiring only power from the vehicle. You have to add the sensor no matter what vehicle you have. The VSS line should be available somewhere in the Taurus also -- so electrically I see no reason it couldn't work.

could you take down the headliner and take a pic? maybe someone could give you more advice on if you could make a bracket or something.

I am confident in the mounting and making look like it belongs there.. I was more worried about the electrical end of making it work.
Thank you Jon.

I have an extra sensor and wiring harness for an ohc... all I need now is the console itself and mounting bracket.

guess I better go and see if I can actually get some answers out of the taurus group on locating a VSS line to hook into .
