I have a 2003 Ford Ranger I got passed down from my father in law and it has airbag light on. Scanned. Codes and got pretensioner open circuit for both seats. Start looking only to find that the driver seat wasn't bolted down in back.
Upon further investigation it's because the holes don't line up. Took seat off and now I'm really stumped. Truck was manufactured 11/02 but seats have date of 6/03 so they are not original seats. They look like Ranger seats and the rails say "rang"
can anyone provide insight as to what these might be from? I googled every single number on here and no luck. I'm guessing since the seats are the wrong ones that's what's causing the open circuit error. If I can find what they're from maybe I can figure this out. Hoping that if I can swap the rails and get new belts I'll be ok.
Apparently my driver and passenger seat weren't even from the same truck. I found a guy on marketplace who sold me a seat for 60 bucks. He left it outside but I just stripped it for the frame and I'm good to go. Still have no idea what these were from originally.
