rocker switches.....

anyone know of a good looking rocker switch.....i like these, but i remember reading on here that someone got screwed by them....
http://www.4x4mods.com/Product/Jeep/...rswitch40.html

i want to install a couple in my center console.....1 for the fan on/off when the a/c is on.....1 for the a/c compressor on/off......and maybe a couple extra for future expansions...i would like to do maybe 4 and make it look like a switch panel.......

i would like it to be lighted whenever it is in the "on" position....

I really like the idea of them
But don't buy them, I sent them my money VIA paypal on January 2nd, got nothing, won't respond to any emails. Worst is I bought (well paid for) 6 of them. I'm about ready to blow the money in gas to drive up to Bellevue and punch this guy in his face!

the switch style is called a contra switch just to make your searching life easier. You could try partsexpress.com to order them. I have purchased stuff from them before with good results.

Best I could tell, paypal only deals with disputes if you bought the item on Ebay. His website is setup so that you enter a creditcard and paypal charges it. So it wasn't a paypal to paypal transaction, but a creditcard to paypal transaction (you don't even need a paypal account), and I was having trouble figuring out how to file a dispute.

call your credit card company then, i would still think paypal would have something todo with it because you used there service.

For rocker switches (as well as other electrical parts, tools, and accessories), checkout www.waytekwire.com. I'm thinking of making a custom fog light kit and have been looking at these lighted rocker switches (this is just the cover, they don't have a picture of the cover and switch together):

They mount in a mounting panel like this:

For multiple switches, they also have these:

Their prices are a little high because they're mainly geared toward bulk purchases. But, their products are top quality.

Finally! . . . Got an email today.
Similar story to what he used for ebay transactions. . . 27 days for a response.

"Hi, we apologize about the communication problem. We were unaware of the
transaction and have had problems with receiving emails coming through
our domain site email addresses and the ISP comcast. Unfortunately we
had been only receiving a portion of them and some had been filtered out
including yours. We believe we now have it fixed however please email us
at 4x4mods@comcast.net This will bypass our domain address. We have
already shipped out your order in Fridays mail and will be arriving
shortly if not in todays mail. We shipped it via US postal service
priority mail. We wish we could have shipped it in a timely matter but
were unaware of the problem and missing orders since it was an
intermittent problem with comcasts filtering software flagging only a
portion of the incoming emails. Thank you for your patience in the
matter.

Best Regards,
Jim Bullard
