Didn't have time to go to AutoZone, had to watch my son this evening. He's at that age(3) where he doesn't do too well in public.

That's the only way I can think of to get the code. I need to get a tuner so I can do it myself.

I bought one of these on eBay for about $150:



It's very nice. Has onboard text decoding and is flash upgradeable (free) via internet. Great gadget. Specs here: http://www.canobd2.com/tool/3110.asp

This is the display. The circles at the top are the I/M monitors (emission and diagnostic monitors). This is what the inspection people look for. A missing circle is a monitor that your vehicle doesn't have, an open circle is one that is incomplete, and a filled circle is one that has completed. A blinking circle means a monitor can't run because of a problem with the engine or control system.

Seafoamed mine this past sunday(through booster line).....fowled 2 plugs,pulled plugs to check em n what did I find, Bosch plugs(bought truck used)....put some new MOTORCRAFT plugs in n runs strong!!!!!! as long as I have worked at a Ford dealer(20+ yrs),I have always found Fords like their MOTOCRAFT plugs!............all in all very pleased with the Seafoam trick!
