Seat Belt Won't Extend Completely 1994 Ranger

Hello,
I have a 1994 Ranger Extended cab and I'm having issues with the passenger side seat belt. A couple of my buddies are fairly big dudes and they're complaining that the passenger side belt doesn't extend all the way. My question is a) What might be wrong with the belt and b) How do I get to the seat belt assembly to check it out. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Art.

For super cabs, the seat belt assembly is behind the door panel on the rear door, at least on a four door. I don't have any experience with a 2 door xcab to know how to get to it. On the four door you just remove the door panel which is held on by push pins in various locations. Be careful not to break too many because then your panel won't stay on.

It's the same pretty much as what oldblue described. But instead of pulling the door trim off you have to crawl into the tiny back seat and remove the plastic side panel. Again without breaking the plastic tabs that hold it on. And if you have pop out windows you have to remove the latch to get the trim off.

I do not have pop out windows. What is the best way to get the tabs out without breaking them??

Pull gently and don't bend the pieces. sometimes they require a little of a pop. Have you not checked into just getting a simple extender for the buckle. it would sure be a lot easier than pulling the whole assembly apart.

I didn't even know that they made seat belt extenders, how much do they cost and where would I find one?

You can get them at your local dealership. I'm not sure as to the price, but I know it would be a whole lot better than trying to pull everything apart.

The only other thing I would suggest is to run a nice 2" ratchet strap around the seat. That'll hold them in.
