Smoking rear brakes after front end work?

Okay guys so I replaced my shock, rotors/hubs and locking hubs on my 94 xlt 4x4. Took it for a spin and the truck felt like it was dragging but just though it was the new front pads. Parked in driveway and passenger REAR brakes were smoking and smelt nasty. Does anyone know why this might be happen? Is it the e-brake stuck, was I suppose to bleed the system before driving? Any help is appreciated. It got to dark so I had to call it a night but will be back at it in the AM

THanks
