Speedo cable replacement
Speedo cable replacement
Hey, just did a search but didnt find anything. So, i found that the reason my speedo isn't working, the cable was disconnected from where it goes into the transfer case. There is another cable next to it and attached, assuming its the tach. So do i need to buy a whole new cable because the end that connects to the little plastic gear is done? Or can i get it back in and together? Thanks!

i dont think there is a cable, rather a sensor that is mounted to a gear driven actuator.
there should be a plug on it. if that part is messed up then you need to replace it along with a new gear and it should work. the tack is triggered from the ignition module.
