This spring, I plan on replacing my steering pump with a brand new unit, because it whines like a two year old under there.

I've heard chatter about being able to use a 'saginaw' pump instead, but I couldn't find anything about it. Would anybody care to shed some light on that? I'd rather use something other than a whiny motorcraft pump.
