Stuck brake drum

I tried to remove my brake drum to replace my brake shoes. The drum appears to be stuck in the drum grooves and I cannot move the brake adjustment lever. Any ideas? I have an angle grinder, but don't want to spend time attempting to cut it apart. I have already used the hammer.

Get a bigger hammer.
hit it left to right. to get it to wiggle.
if that doesn't work, then hit it up and down.
Don't use heat. Brake fluid is flammable.

Buy a hardware kit and cut the pins off on the back of the back plate, everything should fall off. Your drums can wear down so much that the shoes get caught on that lip. Most of the time if i cant get the drum of easily i cut those pins. A hardware kit should be less than $10.

I've air hammered them before. But its not as worthwhile as it is to do it with a hammer.

This can be real handy. I think mine is KD or Lisle but can't find a link right now.
