Stupid extra sweep wipers

On my 09 Ford decided it was a good idea for the wipers to have that extra sweep...I hate it. On long trips in the summer all it does is smear bug juice making vision worst.

Has anybody figure a way to disable this feature? I have been searching for an answer to this but have found none.

i have the same problem when you use the washer fluid, the wipers will start and wipe 2 times to get the fluid off the windshield like it should then about 1 to 2 seconds later it will wipe again smearing anything that's on the windshield. also bad when raining and mud is flying around, cause it will leave the mud streaks across the windshield.

*****...that's right....

My sprayer and my brothers on our '01's spray a good 3 seconds with a millesection of button push and there's two wipes of the blades. Now that you mention it, Marie's '08 squirts for the length you pressed the button.

That sounds like it would be a pain to do, hoping there might be another way to get rid of it.
