I have a rebuilt 3.0 that is in a 2000 Ford Ranger 4x4 with a good auto tranny, the frame is wrecked. Almost all of the parts on it are new or good along with the computer.

I'm trying to find info on which models would fit these parts the easiest without needing to get into any issues with the computer.

I know a 98-2001 would likely be the best options from what I've researched, but is it possible to use a 2002? 1997?

Main concern is not wanting to re-wire the entire truck or having to figure out ecu issues.
