Icon6 tire ?????????

i have 245-75-16 tires on my 01 ranger 4x4 now. i was told that i could use 30 - 9.50 -15 tires with 15 inch rims can I ? if so what problems can i run into by using the 15 inch tires. would it cause speed control sensor, tire rub, speedometer problems ?????????? stock suspension

Tires are only 1.5% difference in diameter. You probably wont have any noticeable difference in your speedo. You could go up to 31x10.5x15 if you wanted to.

I went from 245-75-16 to 265-75-16 and have zero change in speedo.

dude...you can go 265/75r16 very comfortably...hell.....i that AND 285/75r16's on the stock wheels with very very minimal rubbing on the valence at full crank. And you can run 32x11.50r15's if you wanted as well.

No...you did have change in speedo...but it was so minimal, that you didn't actually notice it...

I did this too and after testing it with my GPS, 265/75's make the speedo more accurate then 245/75's
