Transmission Fluid Leaking

What could be the cause of leaking transmission fluid? The past two weeks it has been leaking a pretty good bit. I put a little in today before I took it to Ford - they can't take a look at it until Weds. - and by the time I got back, most of it had already leaked out. Just wondering if anyone knows why this could be happening and what I need to do besides take it to Ford. Thanks.

Do you have any transmission-related mods, i.e. the Hurst Shifter? Is your truck and AOD or a manual?

Hmmmm....have you crawled under it to see if you can see anything? I mean, shaft seals, gaskets, whatever could be leaking. What do you see under there?

If you haven't slid under there, shame on you, lol! :p Get thee under the truck and give us some more info! (And also what kind of tranny you have, like Brian said.)

I ain't got no trans. mods. It's an AOD. And yes, I've slid up under there. lol. The trans. pan is covered in fluid. I'm thinkin it's the gaskets. Or I hope so because I'm sure that can be easily fixed.

Just picked it up from Ford. They had to replace the trans. pan and a couple of gaskets... also had to change the hose running to the coolant.

Yep.. You got what, the 36,000 mile warranty.. I'm only at 26,000. So if anything else decides to mess up on me, it better do it within 10,000 miles.
