sensor 1.. so i'm assuming it's the first o2 sensor, atleast that's how we figured it out on my friend's GT. Not hard at all, just either have some good channel locks, or rent the o2 sensor tool when you go the new sensor.. it'll be on there pretty damn tight, but will eventually give.

I have had this code popping up for the longest time, the guy at the shop replaced my o2 sensor during the inspection and now we are waiting to see if the code comes back. Is there anything else that could cause this trouble code to come up? I read somewhere if there is a hole in the exhaust before the sensor maybe.

bank 2 is the drivers side of the engine! sensor one is the "up-stream" sensor , the one before the converter. all 96 and up will have 4 o2 sensors. not 3

please do not do this, you will more then likely cross thread it if "if" you even get it loose!
you need to use a 22mm wrench or a 22mm o2 sensor socket.

Thanks Mark!...Im glad you arent givin me a hard time this time around... But that def. clears up a lot. I will go ahead and change the drivers side one tomorrow. And dont worry I used a 22mm wrench on the passenger side...came right out haha Hopefully this will fix it up.
Think the ones after the converter are alright?
