Couple of questions.
So the truck has been being a pain in the *** right now and some things are confusing me. Found out the water pump is just spewing water everywhere right now and I need a new radiator (lucky me). I also have to replace the steering box so should all of this should be some good fun.
To the questions.
When I have my hubs locked (manual) I hear a ticking/weird noise coming from below the transfer case? I think thats what it's called, right below the shifter/4x4 sticks. What could that be? Seems to go away above 1500RPMS and when hubs aren't locked?
When I'm driving, occasionally I hear a click from back in the truck when I release the clutch to begin going again. For example, stop at a light, put it in first and as you release the clutch you hear a click coming from what seems like the differential? But it's hard to tell because I'm in the cab.
Does the 89 ranger have an OBD scanner port? If so where is it?
How can I test speakers? I have four speakers in my truck (duh) and only one works right now and I'm guessing it's probably the wiring because there have been water leakage issues with the truck in it's past and I'd like to get all of them working.
It's got one of those plugs rather than just two wires. How would I test that? (I know stereos (in home ones) have the black/red wires that you could plug in, thats how I tested our old Sunfire's speakers.
ANNDDD I'm looking for a new windshield, are there any vehicles other than the 89-92 rangers I can use?

oh, and about your speakers, i'm not an expert, but if it helps you can check grounds, and test wires for continuity, incase there is a broken wire somewhere, if there was damage frome water then everything would be fried and the fuse would be blown, idk but i would imagine it would of screwed the head unit up

i can't remember which is ground and which is hot on your speakers. but if you have a test light, you should be able to tell. if its had a water leak, then i would say trace the speaker wires back to the raido. they all go the same way from the front to back and what not.
