Trying to keep IFS alive! $100 lifetime warranty?
Looking for opinions on how to waste my money!
Just replaced everything in the front end except the inner tie rods and steering rack this past summer. Brakes and cvs have lifetime warranties. Hubs only have a 1 yr warranty.
Well now I'm needing a new rack and inner tie rods. The damn thing won't hold an alignment.
Racks at rockauto are about $100 less than what autozone has them for. But autozone has a lifetime warranty and rockauto has a 1 yr warranty.
Would you spend an extra bill on a lifetime warranty?

I'd probably just buy decent quality stuff and do it once. Autozone stuff is junk, get decent name brand from Napa or Rockauto if they're cheaper. I've gone to Napa with a printout off Rockauto before and they told me they don't price match stuff from the internet but he'd give me a better price and used a companys account to give me a nice discount.

I had bought new cv axles from advance auto. They gave me 2 of the same axles, right box, wrong part. and then I got the right one, installed both of them, 1 day later the driver side starting slinging grease every where due to a loose clamp. Now granted they did replace it free of charge, but it was just the hassle of having to run there 3 times to finally get the job done.
I bought a hub assembly from auto zone with a lifetime warranty and I haven't had any issues yet.

I paid 86 bucks for two Motorcraft inner tie rods (yes i know someone that works there) but I've been told they're the best you can get, better than moog. Toreador4x4 told me to get them over the moogs so thats when i called my buddy and had him order. I did get moog outers and everything else is Moog on my truck
and if you don't have the tool i can let you borrow mine if you pay shipping
Edit: cheaper than 86 on rock auto..damn!
retail is 80/side
