Turned off?

I was on my way to school this morning, my truck just shut down. It turned off! This same thing happened this summer on a hot day (95+). Is this something I should worry about? Could it be bad gas (I use Mobil 1 (UDF) gasoline)? Dirty injectors? Airfilter? What could it be it's been worring me? I just spent $350 on getting my body fixed.

I was going 25, 30 TOPS. A cop was behind me, I never speed near the school since I learned my lesson from that.

The truck doesn't shut down when you hit the governor, it just hesitates and won't go any faster.

Check your battery cables at both ends to make sure they're clean and tight.

that sounds like what it might be...

battery cables. check first.

and if they seem good, twist em around a little.. i have to hit the ones of the f250 with a wrench to get the connection back, soemtimes...

Mine shut down on me and I hauled it back to a friends house in the middle of a thunderstorm. Checked the fuel pump emergency switch and it was tripped for some reason. Haven't had a problem with it since.

Mine shut off and I started it back up. I will check the battery terminals today.

Mine'll do it sometimes. I know mine is my IAC. My power accesories stay on, so its not the batt. If your stay on, it may be the problem. But I've had my old 93 4.0 stall out on me before when going from Reverse to drive, or vise-versa. A Computer hick-up is all I could think of... Good Luck!

yeah my lights and radio and everything else will stay on.. i know its not my terminals.. i thought it was my IAC valve too, but, it wasn't... i replaced it and it did it like 2 weeks after, so i gave up and now i simply ignore it, it doesnt happen often enough for me to care anymore.

My truck did this exact thing too. But it would not come back on.... Turned out to be the Mass Airflow Sensor.... I was driving along probably about 15-20mph, then the engine just shut off... Could it be an intermittant problem with these sensors?? Of course mine wasn't intermittant, but with electronics anything is possible

Its not the fine dirt, its the oil getting on the sensors from the k&n..

Try cleaning your MAF for one, and check your IAC, it should be either of those.

My money is on the MAF
