warning chime module
Can somebody please show me an I/O diagram of a 98 ranger chime module?"I need a
diagram or pin-out in effort to silence this annoying little bugger.
I replaced front sheet metal on a wreck I bought, but both air bagswere blown and I am so tired of the five tone reminder.
I hope to provide the chime module with whatever input that it needs to shut off the air bag
warning without replacing the air bags.
Any help will be appreciated.

I have replaced the air bag warning light in the instrument cluster and still it chimes. The
same 5 times 5 tune as always.
I really need a diagram of the input to the chime module so that I can provide whatever input to the appropriate pin that is required to make it shut up.
If I unplug the module,I will lose some of it"s more desirable functions, such as dome light and speedometer.
I realise that the proper fix would be to replace the blown airbags.NOT GONNA HAPPEN!
I also beleive that with a little technical info ,I can make the chime module" see" that the
bags are OK.
The blown air bags won"t help me in a crash, but to silence that noise would be
wonderful when I don"t crash.
