Water temp gauge

I would like to add a real water temp gauge to my 04 4.0L. My question is: where is a good place to install the sending unit? I think the one for the gauge in the dash is in the plastic thermostat housing below the throttle body, so can I replace it with the new sending unit or t it off somehow?

Thanks

Adam

ive got one installed in the outbound hose of the radiator, works great.

you could replace the sensor but u have to pull the intake. (big mess)

there are 2 sensors there, one is the water temp for the computer the other is the water temp for the guage. make sure u get the right one.
