its a break controller the connection is all the way back at your trailer lights follow the wires to the back and disconnect them in the back and move forward taking the wire with you. you know what i mean?

if the harrness unplugs from the back of the controller unhook it and tuck it away never know you may need it someday

the wiring job looks kinda crappy to me if you want it permantly gone trace the wires and remove them cover any exposed wires there should be 4 wires red black blue and white coming off the back of the controler red is 12v probley to the battery black is ground blue is to the back of the truck where the trailer harrnes hooks up and i think white is brake input feed but i dont know where it hooks up

I'll make a thread and post pics. I'm going to have questions on how to hook it up.

Found another wire, should I just cut it? The break controller isn't connected to anything now, just not sure what this wire did:

yeah you can cut it.

it detects when you push on the brake pedal so it knows when to activate the trailer brakes. or you could jsut unhook that blue clip.

X2 on CB mounting pics. I'm going to put one in the F250 soon, but I also want to put one in my '98 since it will soon be my DD again..

Thought I was going to be able to put it where the brake controller was, but I won't be able to see the gas pedal, and it hangs a little lower than I thought it would. I think I'm gonna mount it Like Scott has his.

I'm going to sound like a ***** when I say this but, do you really need to see the gas pedal? Just don't take that the wrong way.

Good question, I figured it would probably bug me. I might give it a try there cause it would look alot better/cleaner there then on the side of the couple holders.
