What a problem!! Ignition switch housing replacement
What a problem!! Ignition switch housing replacement
Well usually i can figure things out but not this time. My 98 ranger had the igntion switch drilled out due to lost keys. The idiot who drilled it,,,that would be me ..also damaged the lock cylinder housing. I got another with key and lock cylinder from boneyard. My problem is I cant get the new housing to seat properly because the geared plastic rod will not go in far enoungh to let it seat and binds up if forced..which i didnt do to much of that. Is the lock cylinder supposed to be installed or out during housing installion. Is there a particular position the start switch much be in.. Im lost here. Help is definitely appreciated
