What is this wire?

It's capped and has a clip on it to mount to a panel or the like, it's hanging from the under the fog light mounting area. Thanks, Rob.

Hey I have wires there also on my 99' B300, but the are different and I know that they are for fog lights. So you can scratch that one. Also that fact that there are two wires going to the connector if I can see right from the pic that means it is power to something probably. Hope this helps.

Sometimes a lot of wierd wires are connected and stuffed under the front end. My friend has a bundle of about 50 wires that run through his bumper, it's pretty wierd.

Just look all over under there until you can find it's connection. It prolly isn't that long.

you would have to confirm with john, but i think that is the wire for the daytime running lights in canada. i always wanted to get the device and plug it in, but it is not a priority

Maybe the trucks were wired for the EATC or overhead console and that is the outside ambient temperature sensor.

They are for the "black box" trip recorder used on intercontinental ballistic Rangers (ICBR's) -- they contain the mulitplex telemetry relays and recording gear for forensic determination of abnormal events during "flight".

But in fact the Bush administration has been abusing them! Some of you will find small modules attached to that connector and they are tracing and relaying your whereabouts and in-cab conversations to the FBI's "REPO" (Ranger Explorer Personal Observation) system.

It's a significant and unfortunately unexamined part of the **** Bush administrations assault (see this topic) on the evils of personal liberty. I say this because it's well known that terrorists only drive foreign cars and Chevy's.

Despite what Mott the Hoople said, you SHOULD fear the "REPO"...

"Baby don't fear the REPO..."

i thought it might be my temp sensor from the rearview mirror but there is another wire just like it above the pass fog light clipped to the frame, so i guess I'll just find the spot it gets clipped to ,was just curious bout it.

Don't use synthetic oil! It has teeny-tiny transmitters put in there by the Bush administration to subvert your civil (and lubrication) rights...

No lubrication without representation!

No actually -- just "punchy". I've been working too many 12 to 16 hour days in a row. I stared this morning at 6AM and only got home at 10:30 PM. Tonight though I was helping TBarCYa regear his front axle on the Jeep. I was actually done work by 6PM. However, I've been doing some long hours. We had a major "shutdown" of the steel mill to put some new equipment in -- lots of it and BIG stuff. I got sucked into several projects I'm not really a part of, to provide "technical oversight" and it just got out of hand, ha ha.

A bit tired, but also just being goofy to blow off steam, lol. Sorry if it's too weird for y'all -- I'm just having fun.
