There are a lot of opinions on this one. I personally like flex-a-lite products. On my 06FX4 I have the "S blade" and VSC controller. The controller is very nice. It lets you control the fan in any way you want. It also ramps up the fan speed based on cooling needs. Ramping up also is easier on the charging system. on, off, auto, AC interface, adjustible turn on temp, temp probe, fuse, ect..

I really like that set-up Rich. I've heard of a couple guys having problems with the Jusnes Modified e-fans and you defn. sound like you know what your talking about with truck stuff. If you don't mind me asking how much did those 2 items run you? Also what size fan are you running?

I bought both through summit. It was a couple years ago.. I also, have the same controller and a twin fan setup on the Lightning. Check out www.summitracing.com for pricing.

From what others say.. there are less expensive fans and controllers. Like spal, ect.. I've used the flex-a-lite on three different cars and have had good sucess so far.

EDIT: Here are the two I have on my Ranger.

i installed a Ford Taurus 3.8L fan on my truck with a Spal controller.....the Taurus fan almost completely covers the radiator with the shroud it is in.......it pulls roughly 4500 CFM......a lot of hot rod builders are using them in there higher horsepower v8's......it keeps my tranny temps down around 150* in mid August...
