Where are your whip(s)?

I am curious of how/where you guys have your(s) mounted, I want to mount mine on my mirrors but I'm afraid it'll look bad with plastic mirrors, where are yours?

I like pics, so if ya got em, could ya post em? Thanks, I'll get pics of mine (duals) on rear bumper).

Ben...did you get those whips at Radio Shack? That's where I got mine and they're both mounted on the rear bumper. Those things are indestructable......did I spell that right? I doubt it.

Anyways, I'm really happy with them. They're on my 97 Power Ranger. I want to put a set on my 01 kinda like Ben has them set up on the toolbox. That looks really good. Can you shoot me a PM of how you have them mounted on there?

62" holy cow.

Where do you have your radio mounted? That's the only problem I'm having. I can't find a spot I'm happy with to mount the radio.

Here are my dual whips and our whip on the trike, for no apparent reason . . .

We put whips on pretty much anything that moves

Haha yeah we're a bit redneck, when I was 7 yrs old I put a 102" whip on my mountain bike and pull-behind wagon lol, made em a bit top heavy when ya weigh like 60lbs.

I keep my whip in the closet...

No really it's off the truck since my wreck. The tonneau keeps me from putting it in. I've got a solution in the mail though.

Location is the most important part of mounting an antenna for optimal reception. I have mine as far away from the cab as possible. It used to be mounted to the flat panel on the inside of the bed right in front of the tail-gate, but it would hit the eave of my garage and kept damaging it. Now it's mounted behind the passenger tail-light, on the bumper. I recommend this location because it's never in the way, and is great for good reception. I can drown out my TV in the living room when I'm sittin inside the garage if I key up!

I also went with alons tailgate mount. I expect it in the mail any day now.

I think the best look is a ball mounted on the side of the truck a little infront of the tail light. Check out john griggs car domain for a good picture of it .
