Turn Signal issue

Problem: Flashers work but turn indicators do not, either does the highbeam lamp display on the dash. I've replaced the turn indicator assembly to no avail. Any suggestions.
I'm female and do not have a big selection of tools or a meter to test any wires with. I do know a few basics.
I have checked fuses, none are blown, not sure if a relay works for both the flashers and turn signals. Therefore I haven't checked the relay.

Thanks in advance for any info someone my have for me.

Kelly

So, the flashers on your gauge cluster tell you they're working, but the bulb is not blinking?

I sent you a message but it went somewhere else....lol. Sorry, minor idiot here when it comes to forums
the bulbs blink and show on the instrument panel when I turn on the flashers, but they do not however blink or show on the instrument panel when I use the turn signal arm.

Then it has to be something in the turn signal arm itself, a short or something

Does it lock into place for left or right when you tried it?

yes, it locks into place. I've already replaced the whole arm assembly and it is still a problem.

I've even replaced all 3 plastic modules that hold the wires to the assembly...

direct current to the bulbs. Also the bulbs are dual filament try pulling them out and giving them a look.

i have a 98 ranger and im having a problem with my flashers, and turn signals... Ive checked all my fuses, and my power distribution box and all appear to be in good condition. Ive pulled the fuse box underneath the dash by my steering column, The one supposed flasher relay gets really really hot when i turn my signals on, to the point where i can barley even touch it.. Idk what to do
