Hey all,
Just got a Mazda B2500 with 135k on it. Driving down the road it tracks great and all that, no major vibrations, etc., but while I'm braking from anywhere at or over 55 mph, there is a pretty serious shimmy going on as I brake thru the 55-40 mph range. Bad rotors, tire balance, or something not quite so obvious?

 

is the brake pedal carrying on too?

 

hmm...can't say i noticed, but no, its not kicking back at me like the abs is engaging or anything. I'll be going out in a bit, I'll pay more attention and report back.

 

If its while you brake it may be warped or worn out rotors

 

yeh thats what i figured, it seems to me either 1: the light is out for the E-brake indicator or, 2: there is no ebrake indicator?!? So I think the old owner may have rode around with the ebrake on a lot, from what i gather he was a little "slow" but hey he kept pretty good care of it otherwise.
