Ive seen a similar thread floating around recently, but it was about the "phantom wipers", which the wipers would operate whenever they felt like it.

In that thread is a link to a site that gives step by step instructions on how to clean the switch.

Maybe that is all that you need to do? I hope this helps.

Get a new malfunction switch. They are $40-$60 and all you do is remove the steering wheel cover and undo like 3-4 screws and some pigtails.
