Won't start

Driving home tonight, the ABS light started flashing irregularly. Then the speedometer started to flutter or float when I was stopped. Twice the Theft light flashed on and felt the motor was going to start. Fortunately I was able to get home, but when I turned it off, the lights turned off. I now have now power, won't even click or turn on the dome light.

When I bought the truck a year ago the speedo did the same thing after the truck needed a jump. After replacing the battery, no problems. I'm off tomorrow, so I'm hoping my wife's Corrolla can jump it so I can get to the car parts store.

I'm hoping the alternator, but will also check the cables, and maybe as a last resort the ABS sensor on the pumpkin.

Since I may be working in their parking lot, are there any other suggestions to try if the above doesn't work? I figure if I can't fix it, I'll have to take it to a shop.

Well, woke up early to try to jump the truck. It's was clicking when I opened the door and I remembered some suggestions I read in other posts about the cables, so I tried twisting the battery connections. Low and behold, the clicking stopped and she started right up! I'm off to the car parts store for new connectors.
