X-Cal 2 questions

ok so my friend has a mustang and he has the x-cal 2 programmer....he said i could borrow it for a wile. so i would have to buy my self some tunes. but if i put my tunes on there will it delete his? is there a way that i can save his tunes so that i could put them back on when i give it back to him? if not he said i could buy it from him for $150. is that good? then i would have to buy some tunes also. where is the cheapest/ best place to get those? also are they really worth it if i have a manual. also would i be able to turn my idle down with it? cause right now i have my IAC unplugged and the tps screw all the way unturned..and it idles any where around 1000 to 1400. i know something is wrong but i dont have the money to keep replacing parts until i find the one that fixes it. i already replaced the iac and the cam shaft position sensor. and reset the pcm correctly when doing so and they didnt solve any thing. and ford or the mechanics around here cant figure out what it is since it doesnt throw a code...so they say its something mechanical and u just have to replace parts until u do the one that fixes it....but any way enough about that....what do u guys think about the tuner?

They are VIN locked to one vehicle. If he's no longer using it and put the stock tune back in his car, you can clear it out and order a tune to use it on your truck.
