‘90 wiper linkage replacement
‘90 wiper linkage replacement
I have a ‘90 Ranger that I need to replace the wiper linkage on. Yes, it’s definitely the linkage that’s the problem. Now, I’ll be the first to admit I’m not a genius with cars. Typically I can figure issues out, but I’m stuck here—I have no clue how to remove the cowl to access it (as far as I can find, it’s welded and I’d have to remove the windshield)
I’m guessing I can remove a panel under the hood (near the wiper motor?) and probably fish my way around in it, but the holes in finding are too small to fit my hand in. Does anyone have experience with this?

Yes, there are two inspection plates you can remove to get access to wiper arms and parts inside the cowl
One is in the drivers side corner of engine bay on firewall
Other is in the center of engine bay firewall
Cowl is welded on, it doesn't come off
