Hello. I was wondering what engines can fit into my 2011 ford ranger. It’s the xl with the 2.3L I4 with the 5spd auto transmission. I’m wanting to keep it automatic as I’m not the only one going to drive it. Thank you.

 

A 2007 to 2011 2.3 out of Ford Ranger is all that will fit.

Any other engine will require major modifications.

It would be better to sell your truck and buy a Ranger with the 4.0 if you want the 4.0 engine.

 

A VW TDI motor will fit and give u more hp mpgs and torque. and u get to be a diesel ranger
