04 Ranger Cup Holder Removal

Hey guys,

Does anybody know how to remove this 2004 Ford Ranger Regular Cab cup holder? It is connected to the center seat, I can see three different screws. Two are under the cup holder and one is in between the seat and cup holder. The only way I can think of removing it would be taking out the Driver side seat (which the center seat is connected to). But I don't think I am smart enough to do all that, lol.

So if anybody could help that would be great, I attached two pictures. I will add more if needed, I just took these and it was dark outside, so sorry for the bad quality.

No, I do not have a bent screw driver, but I not even sure there would be enough room for that because the screw in between the seat and the holder has very limited space.

No, I would like to keep it. I just want to take it off to clean it because it is dirty. At first I though it would be easy but after a researching it it might not be...

it appears only one screw holds the cup holder bracket to the truck. just find a way to undo that one and remove the bracket with the cup holders. I dont own your design truck so my knowledge is limited

Do you think I will have to remove the driver side seat? If so is that pretty easy or no? Thank you for your help too.

removing the seats in any ranger is not hard no. it takes time like everything else. just be sure to unhook any electronics running to the seat/seat belts etc.

breaking safety equipment = no beuno.

yup you should be able to slide it up and away from the seat. There is 2 bolts that bolt into the seat that it slides over.

Sorry but I am not selling it just trying to remove it. I need a cup holder in my truck and that is the only one I have so I can't get rid of it.

I tried pulling up, out, and all around but couldn't get it to come loose, do you guys have a video of you removing it or can you make one? Or just give some more detail?
I removed both of my seats today, which was really easy, and I couldn't remove it from the bottom because they weren't screws under it, just pins. Thanks again.

So the plastic protruding through the metal bracket is whats not allowing it to detach? Where else does the bracket attach to the seat?

There is a screw (I think it is a real screw) that is in between the seat and the cup holder.

Yay! I got it off, there was some stuff stuck in the driver side hole so it wouldn't come up, after hitting the bottom with a hammer it popped off.

Thanks for the help everybody.
