Icon4 1987 ford ranger wobbly steering wheel

i recently got sick and tired of the wobbly steering wheel in my ranger, so i found a thread showing how to fix it, i did exactly what the thread showed, and that was to tighten the two screws on the multi-function switch, that helped my blinkers automatically turn off when i am turning my steering wheel, but it didnt help fix the wobbly steering wheel, on mine, it almost looks like something is missing, but i have no idea what it is, so i found a spot to put a long screw through to temporarily fix the steering wheel, anyone have any ideas or any help?

the red shows where it appears to have something missing, thats where all the play in the steering wheel is, and the blue shows the screw i put in that pushes against the column to tighten the steering wheel, but puts it off center, it is now facing more towards the drivers door.
