Guys- Please help.

I have been searching the forum trying to figure out what year of Explorer/Mountaineer/Sport-Trac/etc. will give me a long center console that matches up to the dash of my 2005 Ranger.

I've also been searching to figure out which years of Explorer seats will bolt directly into my Ranger.

Has anyone who is in the know on this created a conversion chart?

 

If it's an extended cab, pretty much any seat from a 1995-2001 Explorer will work. Similar era Sport Trac seats will also work, but the front mounts are in a slightly different spot so they're a bit tricky to make work.

If you have a single cab, you'll have to find the right set of tracks from an older single cab Ranger and mount them to the Explorer seats.

As for the full length console, any 1995-2001 Explorer full length console will work.

 

Thanks for the information. That's what I thought I had found, but it's all jumbled by year and I think I was starting to make myself crazy...
On the consoles, I found a full length console, will it fit up to the dash just like it was meant to be there? In reading these threads and trying to research, it looks like the explorer and Ranger were based upon the same interior for years. If they would work, that'd be just freaking huge. This info would be very helpful also.

How difficult would it be for one of our more 'dialed-in' members to put together a definitive spreadsheet to be shared showing what fits, needs to be modified, do not use, etc? Man that'd be a great tool!

 

As long as the console is from a 1995-2001 Explorer, it will match up to your dash just like it belongs.
