Replacing the OEM Cluster with Aftr Mkt.

Is it possible to replace the OEM Cluster with aftermarket gauges in an ’03 ?

If I remove the Gauge Cluster will the vehicle still run and run properly.

With a lot of things Ford does a process takes place and then a signal is sent to a gauge, take away the gauge and the truck should still run.

Hopping !

Thanks,

Im sure you can find aftermarket gauges to work...anything is possible with the right mindset haha.

As for the vehicle running without the cluster....Ive done it before so it should work in your truck

the only thing i have heard is you need the battery light. it's part of the charging system. but that could be tucked behind the dash anywhere.

yeah, it would have to be out for a short while. with it out, the alt wouldn't charge the battery, so after a while, the battery would go dead. the truck will still run, just not charge. not sure if that was only certain years or not though.

I ran across the charging thing in my ’88 with AutoMeter Gauges so nothing has changed there.

I was thinking of adding aftr mkt Digital Gauges with there own sending units and was wondering if it would affect the electrical/computer systems.

I tend to think too much and get my self in trouble so I am trying to gather info up front.
