60/40 Seats - R they the same ?

Are the 60/40 Passenger Seat the same as a standard Ranger Bucket Seats ?

Why, I know you are asking; if someone wanted bucket seats and if the 60/40 are the same thing, then all that is needed is to get the driver's side bucket seat OR and I am stretching it here, maybe another passenger side seat and change the tracks ? ????!?!?!?

It always seems that the passenger seat are good and the driver's seat ( 60% ) has taken all of the abuse. there has to be extra passenger seats laying around.

Yup it does, so the passenger side can't be used or modified.

Is the passenger side bucket the same as a standard the Ranger Bucket Seat Sets; if so all that is needed to get a set of Bucket seats is find a driver's side bucket seat to match the color you now have in the 60/40 ?

Just thinking, what about changing the Seat Brackets ?

I haven't looked at the seats at all so I am just thinking out loud.

I scored a set of dark gray leather bucket seats from a Lincoln Continental off craigslist for $20, so I am in the process of replacing my 60/40 seats. Yay! It's requiring some modification though. Basically I'm using the headrest, seat back and bottom padding and leather covers off the Linc seats, and putting them on the Ranger seats mechanics/frame.

I've started with the passenger seat, and see what you are getting at. From what I've seen, you could take the passenger seat from a 60/40 setup, unbolt the seat from the rails, and mount it on the driver's seat rails. You would have to do a little modding though for the seat belt and lever, I'm blanking on how exactly these looked in mine. However I haven't removed my driver's seat yet, so I am assuming the rails, etc. are identical to the passenger side, just mirrored.

If you have a pre-98 Ranger, it may be possible if you remove the seat entirely from the frame...

but if your Ranger is after 98, the seatbelt female end is connected to the seat and wouldnt match properly...
