Abe's interior build thread (with pics)

Whats up, its time to start a new truck. Let me fill those who do not know in on what happened. On Sept 1st, 2012 I bought Michigan Mike's Lincoln Ranger and brought it to Texas. Mike gets full credit for building the truck (Abe). So far I changed up the wheels. I took off the TIS 22s chrome wheels. I installed a staggered set of Raceline billets they are 20'' and 22''wheels. But this is an interior thread.

I have decide to start on Abe's interior before Turkey Drag. The interior is already decent. I just want to gently lighten and clean it up. The truck deserves a sick interior. I pulled the Cavalier seats. The seats are going to Mr. C upholstery so he can make them look like new Lincoln seats. I am also about to order the chrome AVS 9 switchbox.

I decide to get the door panels done too. I will just have Mr. C match the door panels with the seats for now. Mike did some nice work with the Fat Mat too. Everything is currently in the shop coming out this week. The door panels are already reupholstered and finished back in the truck. They look good!

I have to wait to get the carpet poured in to this one. It sounds like the carpet will get done in a few months. I am going medium gray on it.

Progress is good. I got the Lincoln theme seats back today. I repainted the plastic side covers. The pictures were taken before paint. Look how much foam Mr. C shaved off the Caviler seats.

Sweet ride… all I can say is wow !

I like the fact that the seats don’t block the rear window !

What do you put under the truck when it is in the DOWN position, rubber bumpers ?

So sick, inside and out! I think the dash is my favorite part though.

Yeah those seats and the doors really flow nicely in there. That dash is incredible.

That is a good question. To do the job right. It needs to be capped on both ends and repainted. This is easier said than done. I wish it would have got done when the dash got narrowed three inches.

as long as you do it, the the truck looks sooo good for small details like that. could you can it with material covered sheetmetal somehow? How does the dash fit, i love things like this when done correctly. I mean does it fit good and somehow looks like it belngs, or does it ill-fit with gaps at the window and stuff

I see some JL's peeking out in that first pic. Any more pics of your audio setup?
