i am looking for information on what years the center console/ arm rest with the cup holder are out of.

 

My 03 EDGE had one OEM.

 

thanks. so probably early 2000's then, but not all models obviously because my 04 didn't come with one. maybe 01-03 only?

 

i think i looked at a 99 that had that style once.

 

well that makes my last post a fail.

 

i saw a 98 on kijiji that has it as well. however, that truck is mixed matched with parts. apparently it's a 98 but an fx4, white w/ grey and rebuilt title with a sohc 4.0L

 

Ive been lookin into those consoles too.

 

Was there an FX4 in ’98 ?
My best guess is no so this truck you are talking about is a real mix of stuff or is it just a cove story ?


Are the Console all the same size for the 60/40 Bench Seats ?
If so then there is the question will the covers swap ?
Ford did do something right and something like the Covers on a seat that is used in almost every model of Ranger MUST have some interchangeability.

i've seen it in person. it has a 98 front like justin's and my response was wtf is that!?!?!

 

also my 2003 dosent have one either just that stupid 60/40 seat

 

My 2002 B3000 came with one stock... Mayb check mazdas too if you can find any lol...

I'm thinking these were only pre-2004 models. My 2004 doesn't have it...in fact my 2004 only has the two by the shifter. There were other models that had that pair that clipped onto the front of the middle seat.

These cupholders don't seem to be that great of a design, considering the entire cupholder flips back when you put the armrest up...meaning you can't put change in it...can't move the armrest with a drink in it, etc. Just my opinion.

i'm sure if you put the ashtray that is removable in there you can put change since the ashtray has a lid.

 

That ashtray isn't that secure, though. That little gripper thing just doesn't hold well.

If I wanted an ashtray, I'd rip out that airbag switch/audio-in cubby (depending on year), relocate the switch or the audio-in and put a slide-out Explorer Ashtray in its place.

they were optional on 01-03 models. i added one to my '99. they will fit 98-'00 as well if you want to ad one. i may be selling mine

 

if it will fit an 04, and the price is right we will talk.

 

03 edge has it too.

 

I have that armrest. my seats came out of 2000 model that we had at Advance Autoparts. My manager was cool enough to let me swap out my bench seats for them. :)
