well i figue if you got some industrial carpet you would be fine

seats are removed with a 55 torx
door does not have to be removed at all
to remove carpet all the way then seats must be removed

You can put any kind of carpet you want . I've seen sites on the internet that sell molded carpet in many colors and will fit right in your truck with a minimum of cutting. My seats are buckets and held in by 4 Torx bolts in each one. Came out real easy but I have a 4door. mjktg99 on Gen-Edge has a regular cab and he had his seats out, you may want to PM him.

Any chance you remember the site? And did you see any bright yellow carpet? I was thinking of just going to someone to do it for me and save me all the work...but if I bring the carpet I want...would assure me that I get what I want. And do you put padding in too ?? It's those damn Torx bolts that are the problem!!! Not a common tool or size I carry in my tool box!

I have that socket if you want to borrow it. Or, you can go to discount auto and buy one for under $6, I think.

It's like 4 Torx bolts to remove the seat. I'd tell you the size, but Bryan has mine so I can't check... :) But it's like 45 or 55. I had to goto sears to find mine, it was so big that they sold them separately not in the sets.

But carpet is carpet. Automotive carpet is probably just purpose built for a vehicle. Shorter height, pretty dense, and not as much cushion plus maybe some special heat tolerance, but that's just a guess.

i already stated above that it is 55!
i was going to just buy the 55, but i decided that i never knew when i might need another size so i just bought a set. trust me i have used many of them recently. sears sold me a set that goes all the way up to 60
