everyones consoles i've seen have been the 98-01 style,

but i've always prefered the style starting in 02 (mom has em in hers)

just wondering why everyone seems to avoid this style. i like it better, being more square off

anyone have any expertise?

 

Does the newer style even fit in a Ranger? I can't tell if the dash and everything is the same.

 

i think the floor pan is shaped differently and wont conform to it right...

 

i agree.. the dash is different..the explorer swap is a breeze.. and its fits like its factory.. looks like its factory.. thats why im so happy with mine, looks like the shiznat

 

yeah looking at it now i guess it wouldn't fit right, thats just the one i liked more.

 

the dash were the consoles meet is totally different....unless you were to customize the dash, it wouldn't fit...and it is a lot wider than what can fit between the seats on a Ranger..

 

i like mine. its the one just before the change.

you could maybe put it in and it would just sit against the dash. and not fit in like the others. so itd prolly work. just have to figure out a nice way to attach it to the face where it lines up

Anybody wanna help me find a tan 98-01 style? my local JY wants $120 and that's just absurd and after shipping Ebay wants about the same.

I paid $117 shipped foe mine off of ebay. I didn't think it was that bad considering the part it replace was $200(armrest).

 

Holy crap Andy! I paid $120 for the console and seats. The seats were mint cloth with pwr driver and the console was a lil beat up from the wreck.

 

Paid $15 for mine at local pick and pull and $20 to have the lid reupholstered.
Sold the original console after 60/40 mod on Ebay for $150.

 

geeze! i paid $100 for my old full length center console (with 6 disc cd changer) and mint power leather seats.......

 

just curious is there a way i can put in one of those type of consoles in my 94 ??

 

have to get the older style explorer console.. the one with the same dash as yours

 

Nope the Gen 3 Exp Console wont fit, dash is shaped too different......Ive been eyeing my GF's 02....trust me...LoL







Luckily I found mine on the side of the road in someones trash! HAHA! (Yes I know my door panels are chipping, Not the same paint as the dash....)
