I did a console remove to replace lights in the dash, didn't do the LED's didn't have the money for it, nor the time to let the truck sit around dis-assembled.

Took everything apart put the lights in put everything back the same way.

Now, with the keys, and lights, off, the door dings with the door open.

I like the door ding, and do not wish to do a door ding delete...

Any help would be greatly appreciated.


Figured it out, lol.

The ignition piece that determines if the key is in the ignition was dislodged and touching a ground.

I just insulated it, since I couldn't get it back in.

 

Not sure but try a little WD-40 sprayed on the latch mechanism, might help/
After applying the WD-40 shut and open the door a few times.

Also, while you are at it, spray the hinges and any connecting parts.
