Does anyone here know if the cup holder inserts from an '01 are the same size as a '99? Will they fit?

 

if your talking about the black things that snap in, the things that you can pull for for a can of pop (soda or coke for the people in the south), then yes, my truck was missing one when i got it and i took one from an 04 and it worked fine.

 

Yes, that's exactly what I'm talking about. Without 'em, everything seems to just fall out. My current Ranger is missing these and I just needed to know if I HAD to get the exact year range. Thanks!!

 

I never had any in my truck, and I always knew there was something that went in there. My drinks would always fall over and spill. I got some from someone on here and they are amazing.

 

I have mine that I took out when I put in my explorer center console if your interested let me know.

 

fuzz do you have the rubber inserts from the center console?

 

yeah, all of my friends drinks would fall out because i only had one in the driveside of the cup holder.
now i just need to figure something out so they don't rattle, yet again everything in my truck rattles so whats the point lol.

 

they should have a rubber piece on the bottom. atleast my 03 does.

screw buying those things. just go test drive a ranger and yank those things out.

 

lol.. i just read this and wow i never knew those were there for that reason.. I remember right after i bought my '00 i had a route 44 ocean water (from sonic) in the drivers side cup holder and it tipped over, yeah i was pissed lol

Yeah, I saw that post too. So I bought 'em.

 

the console on the floor, under the dash, that comes with either 2 cupholders, or just a flat piece of hold garbage actually depends on the year it came out of. I know the cup holders that are attached to the floor, is they came out of anything 2001 and older they WONT wonrk on a 2004. I tried to get 2 extra cup holders of ebay and it was a waste of time cause theres this little uber expensive looking silver box under the console that stops the older models from fitting correctly.
