Icon5 Do you own a ranger with power windows? Please help

Hi guys,

I bought an 06 Ranger Sport that has power windows and door locks.

I noticed that at night the door controls do not light up.

Is this normal?

If they are supposed to light up, what should I check for?

A fuse? A bulb?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

He means the buttons to control the up/down of the window. I've never heard of them lighting up.

Little lights, peering at me in the darkness, waiting...waiting...

Wow, now THAT'S paranoia, lol.

They don't light up and never have in Rangers. They do in Exploders.

I wish they did, I always press wrong buttons at night and my passengers always do too. Someone should make a tutorial, I bet it would be pretty easy too.

With 3 buttons why do you need lights its not hard to figure it out after owning the truck for a couple days.

OK thanks guys. That puts my mind at ease.

I know it's not a lexus but I have had cheaper economy cars that had them lit up so I figured that Ford would at least put some irridecent paint on the markings or something.

And if it had lights on them I wanted to fix it so I could see them.

Since this truck is new to me I sometimes find myself thumbeling around for them at night. I work nights so I guess I just need to remember which one is which.

Thanks again.
