Pricey Stuff but if you want it, and are not fortunate as Fx4wannbe01 is, then you will have to do it the hard way, “Spend some Money” !

I forgot the Shift ***** and Handles because I am going to use the Hurst Dual sticks with an 8-Ball Trans **** and an aluminum T/C Shift **** painted Black.

Gotcha... I was fortunate to get the t-case arm and ball from Shane for a good price... And to have him let me use his shop to make my t-case bracket for the linkage... As well as modify my linkage arm and make the 3in adapter for a body lift...

I wouldn't waste my money on that floor plate. It's going to cost you as much as the rest of the swap will.

Those prices seem very cheap compared to the prices I got about this time last year when I got my case.

When I asked about the parts from "http://www.fastfordparts.com/“, I sent pictures and a VIN I got from an FX4 somewhere.
I gave a description and asked for them to match up the VIN/picture/desc. actually they asked for the VIN.
These guys are great they have located all of the FX4 parts I have asked about and their prices are just a little higher than Tasca but they will match the lower price.
There shipping isn’t too bad either.

If you're planning on buying all new Ford parts you'd almost be better off buying a wrecked LII to get the parts off of.

It sucks that you can't even get any of these LII parts anymore. I may just have to look at grabbing another shift bezel. Mine has one of the mounting screw holes broken on it. You can't see it when installed but they're not going to get any easier to find. I tried locating the straight/180 degree LII speed sensor for the LII tailshaft and it more or less is discontinued. My buddy that runs the parts counter at the Ford dealership says that they now list the standard speed sensor as a replacement for the LII but I can tell you that it doesn't really fit without some work. The crappy part is the yard I got my LII conversion sold the speed sensor already out if it. They told me the truck beens picked down to just a shell already after only about 2 weeks.

In only two weeks, I can understand why.
I will be buying just the boots and bezel, just in case.
If I don’t find something in the JY or if what I find isn’t up to my idea of looking good then I will use it, if I find a good setup in the JY then I will sell this stuff as new in OEM Boxes, might make out with it.

I found a good JY a few months back with a lot o C for C in it but no Lvl IIs, a lot of Rangers but not what I wanted.
I will keep my eyes and ear open for something.
I am working on a deal now with a friend but everything takes longer than I want it to.
As far as that sensor, call the number on the Fast ford parts page and ask for Ray or Ken, they have found everything obsolete I have asked for. Seems the Dealership Parts Guys know only what is current not the Obsolete Warehouse of parts that is floating around.

I now have, new in OEM Boxes, the Boots and Bezel and the RCM Cover that goes in front of the Shifter, soon i will have a brand new kit for everything in the cab, wonder what that will be worth on eBay.

I appreciate you turning me onto the fast ford parts guys as they didn't have the Lvl II speed sensor but they did turn me on to a dealer that had one on their shelf in Oklahoma. Its not on its way to me.

I also have thought of what my Lvl II swap would have been worth if I would of parted it out on Ebay rather than putting it into my truck. Coming from a guy that owns an original 69 Mach 1 428cj car I know what some people will pay to obtain the "correct" parts. I spent $350 about 5 years ago for the correct Q code air cleaner on the mustang, last I knew before the recession they were going for $1k+. On this Ranger stuff though I think I'd be disappointed with what Lvl II stuff would sell for on ebay. It appears no one with a Ranger except for me and handful of other people really care if they're putting in the "correct" Lvl II parts or just some modified explorer or BII parts.

Fx4wannabe cares sooo much he is collecting the parts just in case he makes changes.

I really do not expect to locate parts in the JY for the Manual T/C chg (except maybe the T/C itself and linkage of some sort, so I will probably use the new trim stuff, the way I am.

Anyone interested in a Bench Seat for an early Mustang ?

LOL!

Actually....to make it more true....at this point, I only care if the bastard LOOKS like a factory Fx4 twin stick on the inside. underneeth'll be all gen3 stuff. lol. My 02-03 Fx4 case is totally toast and I don't expect to get another one. Though I know where one is....but they want WAY too much for it. lol.

FWIW...I really think the HARDEST part to find is the linkage. That's also 02-03 twin specific...just the upper half that the chrome handle bolts to. Usually....if they just pull major components and crush the rest, the linkage goes with the squished truck.

I wish my local JY had one or two in their stock pile.

So many Rangers and no Lvl II, go figure.

Just have too keep looking.

I think the only 3 people that care about the correct stuff have posted right in this thread.

I think I'm going to be like Shane and start trying to collect spare Lvl II parts. If you can find them in the yard you can probably get them for a fair price and the interior/floor plate is the hardest parts of the swap to find.

The only seats I'd need are spare High back buckets/Mach 1's or fold down rear seat parts. A complete rear fold down setup use to be worth a 1-1.5K.

I guess I should be happy then that I have the linkage for the Lvl II. It was sad because every yard I called that had Lvl II T-cases had the case but no linkage. One guy said they had the T-case and the shifter but no linkage. He said normally that gets thrown away or left in the truck. I asked him if they could go check the truck and he said he was sure the linkage wasn't there. The lazy SOB just didn't want to check for me. What good is the case with out the linkage. I do wonder if there are some Lvl II trannys sitting in yard inventories with the linkage still bolted to the tranny.

Shane what is too expensive for a Lvl II T-case? When I was searching I thought I found one in a yard for $300. Shipping isn't too bad on one as they're so little and weigh nothing. Might be able to talk them into $300 shipped.

Well someone needs to go save all these Lvl II parts.
http://www.eissbrothers.net/asp/vehi...s.asp?s=E0A134
I was searching around and found this Lvl II sitting in a yard in New York. It sounds like its still really complete but the guy (named Richard) didn't want to go rip the parts off it. He said "we really only focus on selling the big items like drivetrain." WTF? I'm sitting here wanting to pay money for parts you have that are going to go to the crusher. It sounds like it has the tow hooks on it, the floor plate is probably there, the shifters are missing but he thought but the rest was there.

Those tow hooks are tough to find. If you do find them most of the yards don't want to part with them. He told me the tow hooks are usually sold with the frame, to me that = crusher. Another yard had a set but they said they go with the front clip and they want $1700 for the front clip. I doubt 95% of the people that will be buying the front clip need them as they don't have a Lvl II or probably half of them don't even have a 4wd! Sorry for the rant, I'm just pissed as a bunch of Lvl II parts are going to go to the crusher unless someone can get over there and nab them.

Talk them into it Trevor! I called another yard that had a Lvl II twin stick and the same story. The tow hooks go with the front clip and they don't sell any small parts off of it just driveline stuff. I think they wanted $400 for the T-case so maybe I should see if they'll sell me the T-case and throw in all the parts like they did last time. I'd really like to get my hands on a spare plate incase the rubber on mine gets brittle and rips. Then I could pick the best bezel, and shift *****, parts...etc and sell the rest. Oh who am I kidding. I'm like Shane, I'm a parts horder. Thats why I have several 428cj's, a spare Boss 351, and other goodies stashed in storage.

My insides shook a little..... '02 DWB twin stick....mmmmmmmmm

HEY! I only hord what I HAVE to. LOL. Giving Tre the L2 case shifter was a BIG step for me. lol. BUt yeah....I had two complete sets, and now starting to slowly say good bye to parts. lol. Tre got the lessor of the two tcase shifters. lol.

IDK....I only paid 60 for mine that's blown up now. I know where a case is and they want just too much for it. Right now, I'm definately not in the market for truck parts. lol. But if I had money, i'd be ringing that yard up in new york. Hell...if I had money, I'd be buying all those parts brand spankin' new from my hookup.
