Door Rattle,??

Hey guys i have a 2002 Supercab Xlt and i have a rattle/squeek coming only from the drivers side rear door. the noise is where my door and the rear suicide door is. It is driving me absolutly Nuts. I can tell you that both doors shut all the way and are not loose so its not the stiker. the handle is tight so its not that. I sounds like its the plastic door panel on the rear door shifting or moving around on something. I am curious if anyone else has had these issues with the supercab. I removed the drivers door the other day to hit the window regulator with a hammer (long story) and put panel back on..all tight and its not that

So any help would be great..thanks guys.

The only thing you can do is take the door panel off to make sure everything is tight and add a sound dampener.

I have this exact problem in the exact same spot as MassRanger and it drives me crazy! From what I've been able to figure out its like where the suicide door comes into contact with the cab and the black foam lining. On the door there is just a tiny piece of like 3 inches of foam there. I am thinking maybe add some more there. Gonna have to give the door a bit more push but if it fixes the rubbing squeaking noise its worth it for sure..

Mine does that too on the driverside. Its more of a rattle or knocking sound. I took the door panel off and nothing was loose. But what i did notice was that this winter it went away. as soon as the snow was gone and it warmed up sure enough the noise came back... Not sure as to how it could be fixed.

Well if that's the case for your it could be the foam stripping between the door and the cab. In the winter when its cold things contract, so the foam gets smaller and doesnt rub on each other so much. In the summer it gets hot and the foam expands more, causing less space, more friction, more rubbing. I'm not trying to get all scientific and act like I know everything thats just the first possibility that popped up in my head when i read your post

I had the same problems in my truck. the squeeks are coming from the window tracks on the inside of the door. The rattles are coming from the door because the three rubber bumps that reduce vibration. These tend to get compressed over time. There i two bumps on the door, one at the top of the door and one in the middle of the edge of the door. The third one is on the car at the bottom. To get rid of the rattle replace the middle one with the top one. Good luck guys

i took off my rear passenger door panel and found the sound deading material laying in the bottom rattling around, still doesnt stop my creeking noise when i turn left, its like the doors move together or something i dont know. one less noise to hear i guess. whats some good material to put in the door skin i was thinkin of just using normal home insulation or foam? anyone tried anything?
