Edge owners... Question.
Lol easy comrade just jokes I already have a few in it haha; ground for my amp, the amp itself, capacitor, and maybe more that I cant think of.
If you have a rubber floor, why would you add a floor mat? I suppose it helps on the wear and tear but I had a rubber floor in my old F150 and loved it. That one really could be hosed out because the mat was higher than the door sill. I thought it was great and never saw any benefits to adding a mat. Why?

Mine catch all the mud and grass clippings. Rather than mess with that stupid lip on the edge of the door I simply take the mat out and dump everything off of it. It makes it much easier to keep the interior clean.
My old work truck, '96 F150, the vinyl was completely wore through as well as the jute underneeth it. Straight up bare metal where my right heel sits. I sure as well wasn't about to destroy my vinyl my not using a floor mat.
Hillyard and Fx4wannabe01 Thanks for the answers. That is kind of what I figured.
On my 86 F150 in about 8 years and 130K my floor never wore through but that doesn't mean much. I do see that lip as a pain on the Ranger.
I have no idea what idiot though of putting a carpet in a pick up truck. They should be shot. Just with a BB so it really really stings. Then there was the idiot at Ford who thought it would be a good idea to put a lip on the door sill so you cant just clean the floor with a garden hose. Dumb@$$.
I know that I used to just vacuum and hose it out. Can the new floors still be vacuumed easily? I ask because a friend may be junking his 2000 regular cab and I was hoping for his rubber floor for my 1995 if it will fit.
I wanted a rubber floor so I won't have to deal with floor mats or carpets.
EDIT Vacuumed easily: On my old ford the dirt came right up and it looked good without washing. The new Edge style looks like it needs to be washed to look good.

Thanks guys, mines an automatic too. I just took some pictures for you guys. Sorry if there kind of dark, taken in my garage and the light burned out.

I used the plastic panel to hold the sides down a bit, it some what helps.

As for what Im going to do is to cut all the little carpet spikes off and just deal with it from there.![Tiphat[1]](https://www.ranger-forums.com/rf/forum2/images/smilies/tiphat[1].gif)

OMG we don't get that piece here in the states!!!!!!!!!!
Yeah, yeah we do. On 4dr supercabs, it snaps into the floor. On 2dr reg cabs and 2dr ex-cabs, the piece is black and screws into the floor.
